For generations, women of colour have been told that their hair was a burden. The damage of this has had lasting negative consequences on our self-esteem. As the mothers, sisters and aunties of young girls with curly/kinky hair, it is our job to break this cycle and instil a sense of pride in our daughters that can be passed on for generations to come.

Mommy & Me Natural Hair Expo was an interactive workshop designed to help moms and women as a whole, establish a healthy and happy hair care routine with the little naturalistas, including: laying the foundation, products and tools, and shampoo and styling. 

 All attendees had the opportunity to browse and shop at the mini market for natural hair care products, ethnic hand crafted accessories, headwraps and clothing pieces for moms & tots.
